CAROLE ROGEL is Associate Professor Emeritus of History at Ohio Stated University. She is coauthor of Historical Dictionary of Slvoenia (1996) and author of The Slovenes and Yugoslavia 1890-1914 (1977), as well as many articles on Slovene cultural and political Yugoslavism. Since her retirement, she has lectured and written extensively on recent developments in the former Yugoslavia.
