Dr Heather Bowe is currently the Executive Director of the Monash Language and Society Centre, and has held this position since 1995. Kylie Martin is currently working on her PhD on the social situation of Ainu language of Japan. Kylie has been the recipient of a prestigious Japanese Government Scholarship for this research.
