About the Author

In this second volume of the history of NYSAIS's first six decades, Dane L. Peters examines the remarkable growth of the organization in the 21st century. During this time of rapid technological development and its game- changing impact on education, NYSAIS has committed to preserving the highest ideals of education and making a daily difference in the lives of stu- dents. Peters knows this commitment firsthand. Over the past three decades, he has served as a NYSAIS volunteer, board member, founding member and administrator of the NYSAIS Experienced Leaders Advising Schools, and head of Brooklyn Heights Montessori School. He retired as head of school in 2015, but has remained active in the NYSAIS community.
