"Vittorio Colaizzi’s new tome on Robert Ryman... is a thing of beauty, filled with pristine reproductions of Ryman works."—Andrew Russeth, Executive Editor, ARTnews"This is the first ever monograph on the ground-breaking conceptual/minimalist artist Robert Ryman... This volume, edited by Vittorio Colaizzi, is both art historical and narrative in its approach, exploring the artist through his works and words, interviews and musings. Owning the book, with its embossed cloth cover, is almost like having your own Ryman painting." —elephant.art"Ryman's exploration, documented in this monograph, is proof that restraint—not necessity—is the mother of all invention. The result? A riveting range of variations on a theme." —Domino Online
