Joan Murray was the executive director of the Robert McLaughlin
Gallery in Oshawa from 1974 to 2000, and has worked as a curator at
the Art Gallery of Ontario and the National Gallery of Canada,
among others. She has written eight books and over sixty catalogues
on Canadian art.
