Scott Allen Nollen was educated in Film and History at the University of Iowa. He is the author of 16 books on the history of film, literature and music, including, from McFarland, Warners Wiseguys (2008), Louis Armstrong (2004), Jethro Tull (2001), The Boys: The Cinematic World of Laurel and Hardy (2001), Robin Hood (1999), Sir Arthur Conan Doyle at the Cinema (1996) and Robert Louis Stevenson (1994). Currently he is on the staff at Heritage Auction Galleries in Dallas, Texas.
