About the Author

JoAnne Myers is Assistant Professor of Political Science at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York. She is also co-director of the Women's Studies program and coordinator of the annual Women and Society Conference. An out lesbian, feminist, and activist, she teaches and has written about feminist political theory, public policy and women, and environmental policy.
