About the Author

James DeFronzo is associate professor of sociology at the University of Connecticut and the author of numerous articles on criminology, revolutionary movements, gender issues, social stratification, and demography. Since the spring of 1985, over four thousand students have taken his course in Revolutionary Movements, from which this book was developed.
