Samuel V. Kennedy 1II is associate professor of journalism
and chairman of the Newspaper Department at the S. I. Newhouse
School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. He also
spent fifteen years as editor- managing editor of The
Citizen-Advertiser, Auburn, New York.
