Caroline Freund, senior fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics since May 2013, was chief economist for the Middle East and North Africa at the World Bank (2011-13). Prior to that she was lead economist and senior economist in the research department of the World Bank. She was also senior economist at the International Monetary Fund and economist at the Federal Reserve Board. Freund works primarily on economic growth and international trade and also writes on economic issues in the Middle East and North Africa. Sarah Oliver has been a research analyst at the Peterson Institute for International Economics since August 2013.
