It includes an introduction, a valuable section of prosopography identifying the correspondents of the Emperor and persons mentioned in his letters, text and translation of sixty-eight letters with chronological and explanatory notes, an appendix with thirteen hundred unedited texts related to the letters of Manuel, a bibliography and six indices.
