Isidore Isou (born Goldstein) was one of the founders of the Lettristes in Paris. His works have been exhibited at the Pompidou Museum, Paris. His many publications (often self-published by means of mimeo or small printing presses in the 1960's, but also frequently published by Lettrist group members and, in the instance of this filmscript for his 1951 film, by Gallimard) are now being translated into many languages and Isou and the group are now the subject of numerous works including Kaira M. Cabanas' scintillating study entitled OFF SCREEN CINEMA (university of chicago).
