She is also a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner and a retired Associate Professor of Clinical Nursing at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, Texas. Joan Engebretson is a Professor of Nursing at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, Texas. She is also the Head of the Division of Women and Childbearing Families and Nursing for Target Populations.
