About the Author

Mehul Mehta, PhD, is the Director of the Division of Clinical Pharmacology I (DCP I) at the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER) of the United States Food and Drug Administration. With a PhD in Pharmacokinetics at the University of Pittsburgh, Dr. Mehta has over 20 years of research experience. He is the Co-chair of the Biopharmaceutics Classification System (BCS) Committee at CDER and won the 2011 CDER Leadership Excellence Award.
