Reviews

"There is a definite need for a comprehensive consolidation of material on VHF viruses, especially in light of an elevated level of concern globally for emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases. This book fills that need. Although I have a few concerns about the overall quality of the writing in a few chapters, I can appreciate that styles may differ given the number of contributing authors. I would not consider the book to be a 'rapid overview' as the editors describe it, but a comprehensive and rather complex textbook. As a result, the audience may be limited to advanced practice clinicians and more seasoned researchers. Weighted numerical score: 80 - 3 stars." -Sharon Medcalf, Ph.D, University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, USA, from Doody's Book Reviews(TM)
