Rila Mukherjee is Professor of History at the University of Hyderabad, India. She did her doctoral dissertation at the E.H.E.S.S., Paris.M.N. Rajesh is Lecturer in History at the University of Hyderabad, India and obtained his PhD. Degree from School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India.
