About the Author

Dr Enver Bytyçi is currently the Executive Director of the Institute of Southeast European Studies in Tirana (www.ises.org.al) and a Professor in the “Aleksandër Moisiu” University in Durrës, Albania. He has published several monographs in Albanian, this being his first publication in English. Aside from his scientific studies in the fields of sociology and the history of international relations, Dr Bytyçi is known for his expertise on the developments of Southeastern Europe and is a prominent publicist in the Albanian media.
