About the Author

Britton W. Brewer , Ph.D. is professor of psychology at Springfield College in Springfield, Massachusetts, USA, where he served as head men's cross country coach from 1993 to 2001. He is a Certified Consultant, Association for Applied Sport Psychology, is listed in the United States Olympic Committee Sport Psychology Registry, 2004-2008, and is a Fellow of both the American Psychological Association and the Association for Applied Sport Psychology. He has been awarded a series of grants from the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases in support of his research on psychological aspects of ACL rehabilitation.
