About the Author

Simon Haslett is Professor of Physical Geography and Dean of the School of STEM at the University of Wales. He is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and the Geological Society of London, and has published over 100 academic articles and books. He is committed to the public understanding of science and appears regularly on television and radio, and is in demand on the public lecture circuit.
