Mirella Tenderini is a well-known author, mountaineering journalist, and literary agent; she has traveled and climbed extensively throughout Europe and written for many major mountaineering magazines there. She lives in Italy.

Michael Shandrick has trekked and climbed in the Himalaya, Central America, and the Sierra Nevada. His writing has appeared in Sierra, Outside, Summit, and Climbing, as well as in major US newspapers. He lives in Canada.
