DARRYL L. FELDER is professor of biology and head of the laboratory for crustacean research at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. DAVID K. CAMP, a former research scientist at the Florida Marine Research Institute of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, is now a consulting biologist and freelance science editor in Seminole, Florida. Both Felder and Camp are associates at the National Museum of Natural History, Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C.
