About the Author

Matthew Rettenmund is a graduate of the University of Chicago. The founding EIC of "Popstar!" Magazine, for which he worked for over 14 years, he lives and works in NYC as a copy editor and freelance writer. His oral history of "Playgirl," which has been optioned for TV, was published at Esquire.com in 2017.
