Roy (Lord) Hattersley is a Labour peer and former Deputy Leader of the Labour Party. He is the author of 'David Lloyd George': 'The Great Outsider; Borrowed Time': 'The Story of Britain between the Wars'; 'In Search of England'; 'The Edwardians' and '50 Years On: A Prejudiced History of Britain since the War'. Kevin Hickson is Senior Lecturer in Politics at the University of Liverpool.
