About the Author

Miriam Karlin is perhaps best known for playing the belligerent, militant shop steward Paddy in the The Rag Trade, or the unfortunate housewife in A Clockwork Orange, but she has long been an accomplished actress on stage and screen, as well as a political campaigner of formidable talent and prominence, particularly in her work for the actors' trade union, Equity.
