About the Author

Acclaimed for her innovative and inventive style, Virginia Woolf (1882 - 1941) is one of the most important figures of the Modernist Movement. Her works include To the Lighthouse, A Room of One's Own and Mrs Dalloway. Dr David Bradshaw is Fellow and Tutor in English Literature at Worcester College, Oxford. He has edited and introduced numerous works, and he provides a comprehensive introduction and notes for this first edition of Carlyle's House and Other Sketches.
