About the Author

Fred Titmus enjoyed nearly fifty years of playing, coaching and directing the progress of English cricket. His debut for Middlesex in 1949 saw the beginning of a career in first-class cricket that would last until 1982. As one of the first all-rounders, he became a terrifying force in the international game during the 50s and 60s despite loosing several toes in 1967. Fred is now retired from the world of Cricket and lives mainly in Majorca where his stories of cricketing fun continue long into the night with friends and neighbours.
