About the Author

Gary Kuehn born 1939 in Plainfield, lives in New York. He is an American artist and sculptor. His carrer is inextricable related with the both exhibtions Eccentric Abstraction curated by Lucy Lippard 1966, and the foremost exhibition When Attitude Becomes Form 1969 curated by Harald Szeemann. But Gary Kuehn also participated 1977 at documenta 6 in Kassel and exhibited 1979 in this decade in Vienna at Museum Moderner Kunst, 1980 in Stuttgart at Württembergischer Kunstverein as well as he did numerous gallery shows in Europe and USA. Again a highlight was 2013 the show Fondazione Prada hosted in Vencie with a remake of When Attitudes Become Form; this event brought for a long summer period the artists as well as their formulation of Minimal back again to mind and released the works and their creators from the museums and market places.
